At Mount Saint Mary's Weekend/Evening & Online College, we have programs designed for you – working, busy adults who are ready to earn your degree. Our courses are offered both in-person and online, with weekend and evening offerings to fit your busy schedule. And, we consider credit for courses previously taken at other institutions and for prior work and life experience.
Plus, we have a dedicated team of advisors, faculty and staff to support you on your journey.
Priority deadlines for applications
There is no cost to apply, and we review applications on a rolling basis. Our priority deadlines are listed below:
- July 15 for Fall Admission
- November 15 for Spring Admission
Required materials
- Submit your Mount Application for free
- Once you create your account and begin your application, you will be asked for the "Application Category". Select "Weekend/Evening" or "Online".
A completed application includes:
- A personal essay that addresses one of the following:

- Reflect on a time when you questioned or challenged a belief or idea. What prompted your thinking? What was the outcome?
- Discuss an accomplishment, event or realization that sparked a period of personal growth and new understanding of yourself or others.

- Official transcript(s)
- We require official transcripts from all colleges/universities that you've attended.
- If you are transferring with fewer than 24 credits, you must also submit your high school transcript(s) or GED.
- Official transcripts must come directly from the school. You can request these through your school's digital transcript system or ask them to email a copy directly to wecadmissions@msmu.edu
A letter of recommendation is optional from a teacher, counselor or employer.
Once you have submitted your application, you will receive access to your MSMU Admission Portal. You can refer to this portal to check your status, submit missing materials and upload your personal essay.
Take a portfolio assessment
Earn up to twelve unitsThrough our Credit for Prior Learning Portfolio Assessment, eligible students may earn up to 12 credits toward their degree by demonstrating extracurricular college-level learning, helping them save time and reduce costs while honoring the knowledge and skills they have already mastered in their careers.
