Wellness is inherently tied to our mission at Mount Saint Mary’s University.

Empowering our students to be the best they can be means more than just giving them the best tools in the classroom. It’s about breaking down any barrier so they can thrive physically and mentally, not just academically.

We’ve created a comprehensive wellness initiative to do just that.

Our Wellness Vision

Wellness

To us, wellness is everything. Our goal is to have two-thirds of Mount students feeling healthier, stronger and more ready for today’s challenges by the time they graduate.

4 Tenets of Wellness

  • Woman running outside.

    Move More

We want to inspire all members of our community to be physically active. We’re talking group fitness, yoga, zumba and marathons — there are opportunities to meet every activity level.

    Eat Green

We’re focusing on healthy nutrition. In addition to encouraging our community to eat a balanced diet, this initiative also advocates for foods that are sustainably and locally sourced

    De-stress

Addressing rising stress levels is a critical part of our wellness movement. Through resources offered, like personalized training in mindfulness and meditation, we aim to provide healthier alternatives for dealing with stress.

  • Woman waking up and stretching

    Sleep Well

We’re encouraging our community to get the recommended amount of sleep each night. Through workshops in proper sleep habits, this program aims to maximize the well-documented health benefits of sleep.
