Peer Programs
Peer Wellness Advocates
The Peer Wellness Advocates are a group of students dedicated to improving health and well-being at the Mount.
Peer Wellness Advocates are trained to provide education, referral, and health advocacy services to other students. They bring a student perspective to current health and social issues. Peer Wellness Advocates help develop and implement new wellness initiatives they recognize as critical to the Mount, and help others make healthy lifestyle choices through workshops, outreach, and education.
Peer Wellness Advocates are supervised by the Department of Sports & Wellness. Advocates are NASPA Certified Peer Educators and receive a semester-long training in the Mount Wellness focus areas led by professionals on campus and guest speakers who are experts in health and wellness.
