University Priorities

Annual contributions to The Mount Fund provide a steady and vital source of revenue for the University. Donors to The Mount Fund play a critical role in allowing the Mount to remain nimble and flexible in meeting the current needs of students, faculty, staff and our campuses. All gifts help the University remain a leader in women’s education.

When you support The Mount Fund, the mere act of participating — no matter how much you give — makes a difference. Many leading publications that rank colleges and universities factor in the percentage of alumni and alumnae who give.

Like most students, Mount Saint Mary’s students rely on financial assistance whether it be federal or state aid, personal loans or scholarships generously funded by alumnae, parents, faculty and friends of the University.

Without scholarship funds, many deserving students would not have the opportunity to pursue their dreams of a college education, a meaningful career and a chance at a bright, successful future.

As the first new construction on our Chalon Campus in nearly 40 years, the Wellness Pavilion will transform the student experience for a generation of women. It will be the campus hub for a host of new wellness initiatives, recreational sports and new academic programs. The Center for the Advancement of Women at Mount Saint Mary’s University is a hub for research on the status of women and girls in California, advocacy and leadership development. When the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet founded Mount Saint Mary's in 1925, they created an oasis of learning that would propel students forward, while also honoring the work and lives of their past.
