BA in Chemistry 

The Chemistry major is excellent preparation for students who want to pursue graduate studies, medical studies, health science careers, education, scientific writing and careers in food, petroleum and textiles. The BA degree in Chemistry is designed for those interested in secondary science teaching, chemical technology and other broadly based careers requiring a science background. 

BS in Biochemistry 

The major in biochemistry offers students an interdisciplinary study of chemistry, biology, mathematics and physics. It provides excellent preparation for all graduate work and research in biochemistry and the molecular sciences, as well as professional areas leading into the health sciences. 

Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental with a BS in Biochemistry 

Medical schools accept students from a variety of degree programs. A strong background in science — including chemistry, biology and mathematics — is recommended for successful performance on the Medical College Admissions Test and for admission to medical programs. Successful completion this program provides excellent preparation for medical, dental and pharmaceutical studies. 

BS in Chemistry 

Students studying chemistry at the Mount receive a comprehensive view of the principles of this science and participate in hands-on and personalized laboratory instruction and individual research.
