Welcome to the Department of Psychology at Mount Saint Mary’s University!
Psychology, as a discipline, seeks to address the evolving needs of people, communities and society — making it one of the most complex and impactful fields of study today. Students who graduate from one of our programs will be empowered to engage in ethical psychology practices and make a tangible difference in the world around them. As a department, we are committed to upholding the Mount's mission are dedicated to inclusivity, equity and social justice.
At the undergraduate level in our women's college, we offer a major (BA) and minor in Psychology. For students interested in our Weekend/Evening & Online College – flexible programs designed for busy adults – we offer a BA in Applied Psychology.
Students interested in pursuing graduate studies can choose from a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology or a Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology (PsyD).

Master's program
As a candidate for an MS in Counseling Psychology degree, you can choose from three specializations: General Counseling Psychology; Marriage and Family Therapy; and Marriage and Family Therapy with an ¡Enlaces! certificate.

Mount Saint Mary’s Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology trains future practitioner-scholars who reflect the diverse populations of Los Angeles, the nation and the globe.
