Internships

Media production is an extremely competitive profession. Your undergraduate studies at the Mount allow for a solid foundation upon entering the industry. A time-proven method of gaining experience and entrance into the field is through internships.

Internships, which can add up to an optional 12 units of academic credit, are a key component of our program. Students can use internships to gain hands-on film, television and media experience, as well as professional networking opportunities.

Internships are assigned on a one-on-one basis depending upon each student's future professional interests, whether it be in film production, screenwriting, television programming, entertainment marketing, etc. The film program director works individually with each student to determine the best internship fit according to career goals, previous experience and courses completed.

Many of our classes are offered on evenings and weekends, allowing students the flexibility to work, intern or focus on their creative projects. The Mount’s goal is to help students discover their voice and passion, so that they may make a difference in the world.
